Richard was born and raised in Long Island, New York and began doing tarot card readings at age 13 for his Grandmother. He also did pencil sketches of the cards the Magician and the Wheel of Fortune. At age 16 he read Alan Watts, Krishnamurti and The Tao by Lao Tsu. "Just by reading the works of these teachers I would go into a very natural meditative state". While in college he read The Odyssey by Homer and The Metamorphoses by Ovid, and was inspired by the concept of spiritual initiation.

He began reading about the Jungians and learned more about the Rites of Passage and other core archetypes as found in Greek Mythology and literature. This was the beginning of the appreciation and application of astrology as a means to identifying patterns in life.

Richard soon met several teachers that guide him to this day on the spiritual path. At 22 yrs of age he began offering tarot and astrology readings publicly. More...
